| Description: | This course will introduce to students the basic knowledge in molecular biology with emphasis placed on nucleic acids and genes. Students will be exposed to the common laboratory techniques in molecular biology. The writing skills for producing laboratory reports and the required writing standards for publishing in biological sciences research journals will also be covered. This course aims to prepare the students with the foundations for studying the advanced molecular biology and molecular genetics in their senior years. |
