Description: | Forensic Science is the application of science to the investigation of crime. This course will apply the principles and theories of biology, chemistry and information technology to the study of forensic science. Students will be introduced to forensic biology, forensic chemistry, forensics pathology and digital forensics. Practical sessions on crime scene investigation procedures and applicable scientific technologies will be offered to help students acquire critical thinking skills, construct and analyze alternative explanations, and communicate scientific arguments. Special guest lectures by practicing forensic scientists and forensic laboratory visits will be arranged to showcase various forensic operations. |
