Description: | This course introduces the basic concepts and applications of omics technology including bioinformatics, genomics and proteomics. It covers the theories and algorithms underlying these technologies, as well as the strategies that are used to generate and analyze the omics data. After studying this course, students should be able to make connections between omics data and the relevant biomedical questions. Moreover, they also learn how omics information is utilized in biomedicine including pharmacogenomics, drug discovery, disease diagnosis and personalized medicine. |
