The 𝐇𝐊𝐀𝐂𝐓 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 was held last Saturday in our SBS teaching lab! ✨
This workshop series was initiated by 𝐇𝐊𝐀𝐂𝐓 (@hkactmedic), a non-profit organization founded by medical students and housemen from both CUHK and HKU (ranging from preclinical trainees to junior doctors).
The association is committed to supporting aspiring clinicians in discovering their potential and developing personalized career paths in 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 that advance medicine.
We are proud to continue this 3-year partnership (following successful collaborations with Prof. Andrew Chan in 2024 and Prof. Hui Zhao in 2025) to support the next generation of clinicians in mastering practical research skills. 💪
🏢 This year, attendees enjoyed an exclusive tour of our core laboratory facilities to see where the magic happens. 🧫 Under the guidance of Prof. Carol Tong, students dived deep into cell culture, PCR, gel electrophoresis, and fluorescence staining. It wasn't just a lab session—it was a glimpse into the life of a researcher! Prof. Alfred Cheng led an inspiring sharing session, helping HKACT members map out their unique paths in the clinical and research worlds.
Thank you to everyone! We can't wait to see where your research journey takes you next. 🚀
