HK SciFest is an annual flagship event organized by Hong Kong Science Museum in partnership with local education and science institutions to showcase interesting scientific activities to the public, and to raise the public awareness and interest in science and technology. This year the CUHK School of Biomedical Sciences is glad to be in part of this fabulous annual science event again and showcase our new program in HK SciFest 2018: Decoding the Gene (24 March 2018).
What is the relationship between the mysterious genetic diseases and a drop of blood? How biomedical advancement can assist our understanding and treatment of these diseases? Through our hands-on workshop, participants can know the basic concept of gene mutations and examples of heritable blood diseases. They can learn the structure of DNA by making their own DNA origami, and the way genetic studies enlighten therapeutics development. Join us and you are not going to miss this opportunity!
