CUHK School of Biomedical Sciences will be in Hong Kong SciFest 2019 – an annual flagship event organized by Hong Kong Science Museum in partnership with local tertiary and science institutions to showcase interesting scientific activities, and to raise the public awareness on the application of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in our daily lives! We are glad to be in part of this fabulous annual science event this April again and showcase our program in HK SciFest 2019: Decoding the Gene (21 April 2019).

What is the relationship between a drop of blood and the mysterious genetic diseases? How can biomedical advancement assist our understanding and treatment of diseases? Through the hands-on workshop, participants can know the basic concept of gene mutations and examples of heritable blood diseases. They can learn the structure of DNA by making their own DNA origami, and the way genetic studies enlightening therapeutics development. Join us and you are not going to miss this opportunity!
